About  TLR - Total Logistics Resource, Inc.

                            Company History
TLR-Total Logistics Resource, Inc. (TLR) is a U.S. corporation established on January 1, 1974 and headquartered in Portland, Oregon. TLR's core business is U.S. Customs Brokerage and International Freight Forwarding. The company was founded by David Buffam in conjunction with Ted Rausch and has grown from a single, two-employee office into a regional transportation company servicing ports up and down the west coast. TLR currently employs over 40 people located in offices in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

                      Industry Involvement
TLR is a member of the Columbia River Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association (CRCBFA) and the National Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA). Both organizations address issues that affect importers and exporters including those directly related to specific ports and to various government agencies such as U.S. Customs & border Protection (CBP) and the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC). Bob Coleman (TLR CEO) is a past President of the CRCBFA and currently chairs its Legislative Committee. He also serves on the NCBFAA Board of Directors. In addition, Terri Bartle (TLR Portland Ops. Mgr.) is Vice-President of the CRCBFA.

TLR is also an active member of the Pacific Coast Council of Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Associations (PCC). This group of U.S. west coast forwarders and brokers deals with governmental and commercial issues affecting the interests of regional importers and exporters. David Buffam, one of TLR's founders, was also a founding member of this association, Bob Coleman is a former association President and Chairman, and Terri Bartle currently chairs its Export Committee.

In addition, we are also involved with the Pacific Northwest International Trade Association (PNITA), the West Coast Waterfront Coalition (WCWC), and Agricultural Ocean Transportation Coalition (AgOTC). These groups address the international trade needs of commercial shippers, issues surrounding the congestion and efficiency of regional piers/port authorities, and the problems faced by agricultural shippers in the U.S. Bob Coleman currently serves as a board member of the AgOTC.
