Asked Questions
There are many common questions that are asked by our customers. To
provide you with immediate access to answers for those most often asked,
we have developed this F.A.Q. We hope you find it helpful. If you have

-What are your hours of operation?
Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (pacific
time). We are also capable of handling special requirements outside
these hours with advance notice.
-Do you ship personal effects?
While not our core business, TLR staff are well trained to handle
personal effect shipments, both via air and ocean. It should be noted
that personal effects must be itemized in writing previous to tender to
TLR. The shipper must also expect that the cargo will be examined to
eliminate all hazardous, illegal, or other restricted articles.
-What container sizes are available for ocean
freight?
We can arrange for the shipment of your goods in a variety of containers
including 20-foot and 40-foot dry, high-cube, refrigerated, open top,
and flat rack styles. Sizes and capacities vary and can be found on our
Container Information
page.
-What are the basic requirements for an export
shipment?
Once an account is set up, shippers normally need a commercial invoice,
packing list, weights, dimensions, and classification(s) of their
shipment. Each destination country may have its own particular
requirements. So it is best to advise your TLR account rep. of your
destination well in advance of the shipment. They can then assist you in
determining and meeting any other requirements, ensuring that the
shipment process is as smooth and trouble-free as possible.
