We’re proud to be active members of the international trade community.
Our President and Vice-President of Compliance have both served terms as President of the Columbia River Brokers & Forwarders Association throughout the years.
In addition, they regularly travel to Washington D.C. to meet with Congressional leaders and top officials of Customs & Border Protection, Federal Maritime Commission, Food & Drug Administration, and Department of Commerce.
The goal is to shape legislation and proposed regulations to serve the interests of the trade community. Too often, legislators do not fully understand the ramifications of proposed laws on the day-to-day realities of supply chains.
Additionally, our VP of Compliance serves as an instructor in a variety of topics related to import government compliance and is a frequent speaker at national and international trade conferences. For the past 24 years, she has taught the Customs Broker Examination Preparation Course.
TLR Compliance team is a group of professional consultants that assist importer and exporter firms in their compliance needs. We deploy a multi-tier trade compliance approach in our organizational structure that is integrated with our business systems, operational teams, and account teams. Our consultants have many years of experience working in a consulting capacity, with the goal of increasing our clients’ competitive edge by allowing them to focus on their core competencies.
We have developed and/or refined compliance programs for many customers with limited knowledge or resources. Our Consulting Group’s services range from individual projects to managed services to acting as the compliance department for our clients.
While not an exhaustive list, our core professional consulting services include:
Compliance Trade Alerts are regularly issued and available to our customers as new trade compliance initiatives are enacted.
